Surgeries and Consultations
Do you have a child in KS1 or KS2 that you are concerned about that is not responding to the whole school behaviour policy or any reasonable adjustments made?
Gedling Area Partnership offer surgeries and consultations.
- School contact GAP team for anonymous advice on a child with presenting SEMH needs
- School invited to a surgery to discuss the graduated response and presenting need
- A signed parent/carer consent for discussion form will be required to request a consultation with GAP to enable a more in-depth discussion around the child and their presenting need. This is done using our booking system which is under the "How to access support" tab.
- Schools can request direct involvement for children who will benefit from a bespoke package of support, following evidence of progression through the graduated response. A request for involvement form and consent from parent/carers will be required. School will then be invited to attend an operational meeting where appropriate support with be identified This will be reviewed six weekly with school and parents/carers
Please note we cannot offer this to children who are already accessing support to school services without prior discussion.
